aspirations, the Pirates have battled through a competitive spring split and are looking
to make deep playoff runs. Their performance in the BIG EAST playoffs will determine
whether they qualify for the prestigious Playfly College Esports Championships in
March.

League of Legends: Battling for Playoff Position

Seton Hall’s League of Legends team has fought hard throughout the Spring 2025 season, currently sitting at a 2-2
record, tied for third place in the BIG EAST standings. With a crucial match against
Villanova on Saturday at 3 p.m., the Pirates are focused on securing the best possible
playoff seed.

The seeding for the playoffs will be determined after Saturday’s match. Depending
on the results, the Pirates could face a play-in match and a Round of 4 on February
25, with the BIG EAST finals set for February 27. A conference championship would
secure their spot in the Playfly College Esports Championships.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Fighting for the Playoffs

Seton Hall’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team has had a competitive Spring 2025 season, currently holding a 2-3 record and
tied for fourth place in the BIG EAST standings. Under the leadership of captain Abraham
Ramos, the Pirates will face Creighton in a play-in match on February 24 at 5 p.m.
If they advance, they will compete in the Round of 4 at 7 p.m.

The BIG EAST Championship match is scheduled for February 28 at 7 p.m. If the team
finishes in the top two, it will advance to the Playfly College Esports Championships.

Overwatch 2: A Strong Playoff Contender

In their inaugural varsity season, Seton Hall’s Overwatch 2 team has made a significant
impact. Finishing the regular season with a 3-2 record, they secured third place in
the BIG EAST standings, showcasing their growth and competitive edge. Led by captain
Ryan “Slowking” Ferreira, the team has demonstrated resilience and coordination, earning
key victories despite roster changes due to early graduations.

Seton Hall now sets its sights on the BIG EAST playoffs, where they will compete in
the round of four on February 26 at 7 p.m. A victory would advance them to the BIG
EAST Finals on February 28 at 7 p.m. If they finish in the top two, they will qualify
for the Playfly College Esports Championships at the end of March, giving them the
opportunity to compete on an even bigger stage.
