DRX vs Sentinels: VCT Masters Bangkok kicks off with exciting series

DRX and Sentinels face each other on Day 1 of the VCT Masters Bangkok. The stage is set for either of these teams to start their tournament with a win. Here’s everything you need to know to about the DRX vs Sentinels match including match rosters, format, and stream.

VCT Masters Bangkok is the first international tournament of 2025 featuring the best teams from all over the world. The tournament brings the best teams together to compete against each other in a two-stage tournament. With a $500,000 prize pool, there’s a lot for VALORANT fans to catch up in this event. 

DRX has had one roster change earlier this year when they added BeYn to the squad. A roster that sees many new faces differs from the old DRX roster, which relied heavily on set strategies coupled with individual performances. In the Pacific Kickoff, DRX did not lose a single series. Their competitive performances against T1 esports weren’t something out of the ordinary, T1 is a very strong roster in itself. They defeated T1 in the Upper bracket final as well as the Grand Finals, securing their spot in the VCT Masters Bangkok.

Their match against Nongshim RedForce saw the series go the distance as the Japanese squad had a dominant Pearl. In fact, Pearl seems to be the teams’ weak point, as even during the Spotlight Series, DRX lost their Pearl match to Xipto X Global with a 7-13 score.

Sentinels had an almost similar route through the upper bracket of the VCT Americas kickoff. They won their initial series versus 100 Thieves and LOUD, however, their first time faltering was against G2 esports.  The 0-2 loss to G2 esports sent them down to the lower bracket where they had a 3-1 victory over MIBR. Their performance against G2 esports in the Grand finals saw them put up a much better performance. The Grand Finals went the distance of five maps, but ultimately, they lost on Haven.

This match between Sentinels and DRX will see a clash between two teams with slightly different strategies. Sentinels has an aggressive playstyle that can often be termed as flamboyant and DRX is still finding its synergy with the very recent roster changes. DRX’s performance has seen an improvement over time and with matches, and they might have momentum on their side. Either ways, it is an excellent match for VALORANT fans to view on the first day – a clash between two behemoth organizations in the game.

VALORANT fans can catch all the action live, but they can also earn some Twitch Drops to flaunt in-game. You can get a Title and Spray when you watch the official stream.

Fans who tune in for a live match between February 20 and March 1 will receive the Crispy Title. Meanwhile, there is a special spray on offer for VALORANT fans who tune in during the Grand Finals. The TukTuk spray will be the prize for fans who watch the Grand Finals. It is an interesting spray as it denotes the Tuktuk that is tied to the local culture of the host country. In the spray, you can view Gekko, Harbor, Neon and Jett cram up inside a three wheeler vehicle – the Tuktuk.
