WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is launching a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) program this fall.

According to CFCC, the program is designed to prepare students for careers in artificial intelligence and machine learning and focuses on the real-world uses of AI. The curriculum includes data analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, and ethical considerations in AI development.

“We are excited to offer a new program that meets the evolving needs of our workforce and provides students with relevant, future-forward skills,” said CFCC President Jim Morton. “Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming every industry, from healthcare to finance to manufacturing, and CFCC is preparing students to thrive in this dynamic environment.”

Enrollment for the AI program is now open for the fall 2025 semester.
