When you’re in the middle of a level, press “Esc” or “Options” to bring up the menu
Choose the option to return to the main menu, which will restart you from your last saved checkpoint when you re-enter your current level. It’s best to do this right after you hit a checkpoint
At the main menu, click the option to continue your playthrough (choose either Play Local or Play Online depending on your situation)
After doing this, you and your partner get the option to pick which character you want to play as
Pick either Mio or Zoe, depending on what character you want, and then enter the game again
You also get to pick your chosen character every time you restart Split Fiction, so you can leave the game and come back a few hours later and pick a new character
