Sentinels and Virtus.pro, two renowned esports organizations officially announced their entry in the Marvel Rivals Esports scene. They will be participating in the game’s upcoming major events including Marvel Rivals Championship Season 1 and Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025.
Marvel Rival’s game director, Guangyun Chen had earlier commented in January 2025 that establishing an esports scene for the game is one of their top priorities. Leading esports organizations have been taking notice of the success and potential of a competitive scene for Marvel Rivals. And after some speculations, Sentinels and Virtus.pro are one of the earliest teams to announce their entry into Marvel Rivals Esports.
Sentinels enters Marvel Rivals esports
After their massive success with their Valorant Roster, the American esports organisation is now gearing up to mirror that with their Marvel Rivals roster. Sentinels CEO, Rob Moore and famous streamer, Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek had been in discussion and earlier revealed their plans to build a team for Rivals which was then followed up by their official announcement on February 20, 2025.
“As a leading organization in esports, Sentinels is excited to support Marvel Rivals and contribute to its growth. We see tremendous potential in the competitive scene and are eager to invest in emerging talent in the Marvel Rivals ecosystem,” said Rob Moore, CEO of Sentinels.
While no roster has been announced yet, they did state that they are looking for young talents and encouraging interested players to contact them.
Virtus.pro announces their roster for Marvel Rivals esports
Virtus.Pro, the renowned international esports organizations also announced their intention to compete in the esports scene of Marvel Rivals. Their roster consists of the following members, five of them are former professional Overwatch players who had earlier shifted to Marvel Rivals:
- William ‘SparkR’ Andersson (Duelist)
- Philip ‘phi’ Handke (Duelist)
- Mikkel ‘Sypeh’ Klein (Strategist)
- Arthur ‘dridro’ Szanto (Strategist)
- Andreas ‘Nevix’ Karlsson (Vanguard)
- Finnbjörn ‘Finnsi’ Jónasson. (Vanguard)
This roster became the EU Champions in Marvel Rivals Championship Season 0 last year.
“We have signed a very strong roster capable of competing for top placements in major tournaments. The team’s goal is to win the debut event and set the pace for future performances,” Nikolai Petrossian, CEO of Virtus.pro.
With the announcement of Marvel Rivals International 2025 (MRI) having a price pool of $400,000 across four regions, other esports organizations are sure to be following up with their roster entering the emerging competitive scene of Marvel Rivals.
