LISLE, IL — Video game buffs can compete in tournaments, attend informational panels or watch other players vie for esports glory when Midwest Battleground comes to Lisle Feb. 28 through March 2. The three-day event is presented by the Illinois High School Esports Association (IHSEA).

Tournaments, Matches, More

Midwest Battleground features open tournaments, invitationals matches and other levels of competition, with prizes of up to $2,500. Events will be held at Sheraton Lisle Naperville, 3000 Warrenville Rd., Lisle

Workshops and Info Panels

Participants can attend interactive workshops and panels to learn more about esports, how to build a personal computer and how to play Minecraft. Esports coaches will be on hand during the panels to answer questions and share stories about their experiences in esports.

Spectator passes are available for those who want to watch the action at Midwest Battleground, but don’t want to compete.

Day passes are $15 per person, three-day passes are $25 per person. Three-day family passes are also available for $40, giving admission to an adult and up to four kids who are 17 years old or younger.
