What is the Tournament Format of Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025?
MRI is being conducted independently across four regions, namely, North America, EMEA, Asia, and Oceania. The tournament format varies slightly depending on the number of participating teams in the region, so the following information is categorized based on regions.

MRI NA and EMEA matches will be played among eight teams and divided into two stages, the Swiss Stage and Double Elimination. The Swiss Stage is a best of three, three-round game day that will determine which teams make it to the Upper Bracket Semi Finals and Lower Bracket Round 1, based on the points they earn.
Upper Bracket
The winners of the Upper Bracket Semi Finals proceed straight to the Upper Bracket Final, from which the winning team will proceed to compete in the Grand Final. These matches are all best of three.
Lower Bracket
The losers of the Upper Bracket Semi Finals will compete with the winners of the Lower Bracket Round 1 in Lower Bracket Quarterfinals. The two winners from this Lower Bracket Quarter Finals will proceed to the Lower Bracket Semi Finals. The winner from here will face off against the loser of the Upper Bracket Final, to secure a spot in the Grand Final. All lower bracket matches are best of five while the grand final is best of seven.
MRI Tournament format for Asia and Oceania
Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 Asia and Oceania were played amongst four teams. As such, the format was simplified to the Double Elimination Stage only.
Upper Bracket
All the teams compete in the best of 3 Upper Bracket Semi Finals matches. The winners proceed to the Upper Bracket Final, which is a direct ticket to the Grand Final.
Lower Bracket
The Lower Bracket Semifinal is a best of 5 game played amongst the losing teams of the Upper Bracket. The winners here proceed to fight against the losing team of the Upper Bracket Final, in the Lower Bracket Final. The winner then goes straight into the Grand Finals where the winner is determined after best of 7 matches.
