The University of Southampton’s Global Legal Clinic has announced a partnership with CaseCraft.AI, an AI platform designed to support users navigating the small claims court system.

Students will work directly with the technology, providing feedback and helping to refine its document generation and case preparation tools.

Dr Omar Madhloom, director of the Global Legal Clinic, said: “We are delighted to be working with such an innovative and empowering product, and we are excited to be offering first-hand experience for our students, as well as improving access to justice across England and Wales.”

The collaboration aims to give students practical exposure to the challenges faced by claimants while supporting the development of tools that promote access to justice.

Jessica Bosworth, a final-year student in European Legal Studies LLB, said: “It has been such an exciting insight into what the future of the small claims process may be.”
