Instead of turning over books in the classroom, artificial intelligence (AI) voices are heard. Students are solving problems through tablet PCs, not paper textbooks. I imagined the scenery of the classroom that will change after the introduction of AI digital textbooks.
AI digital textbooks are textbooks equipped with various learning materials and learning support functions using intelligent information technology. AI recommends the optimal learning path and content tailored to each student’s characteristics through learning diagnosis and analysis. Learning information, such as students’ tendencies and vulnerabilities, can be accumulated in real time and delivered to teachers, ultimately allowing students to be guided customarily for what they need.
It is expected to help teachers as well. It can increase educational efficiency and facilitate data-based student management such as learning history and grades. It will be somewhat difficult to learn and adapt to new skills, but AI will be the perfect assistant if you get used to it.
As seen at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, AI has become inseparable from our daily lives. “Those who are prepared will have a chance.” I hope that Korea will seize the opportunity to become a pioneer in AI digital education through perfect preparation and supplementation.
