It has been an exciting winter for Dallas Center-Grimes Esports as the 2024-25 Mustangs Overwatch2 team not only made it to the state tournament, but won three straight games to claim the IAHSEA Class 2A Overwatch2 Championship.
The Mustangs began their tournament run knocking off Muscatine in the quarterfinals. The Mustangs would continue to steamroll ahead, knocking off Dubuque Senior in the semifinals and Cedar Rapids Kennedy in the battle for the championship. The Mustangs wrapped up their undefeated season 7-0 as the IAHSEA Class 2A Overwatch2 Champions.
