PlayStation Network is experiencing an outage – and here’s what you can do about it.
There are thousands of gamers playing their favorite games on Sony’s PlayStation. All of these users use the PlayStation network to play some of the most popular titles around. However, from time to time the PSN network does go into maintenance or might not work as intended. PlayStation Network suffers outage
There has been a PlayStation Network outage that has lasted much longer than one would have liked. With players expressing frustration with the network problems that have lasted for more than 9 hours, many gamers have been unable to get their hands on their favorite games.
The disruption began at approximately 5.30 pm ET, with some players also reporting problems a few minutes earlier. Downdetector saw most users reporting server issues with some also experiencing problems in logging in to the service.

PlayStation houses many single-player as well as multiplayer titles. While single-player games might have not experienced as many problems if they were already in-game, it was a different case for competitive players. Titles such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, GTA Online and more would see players unable to play against or with friends on the PlayStation network.
How to Fix PlayStation Network Problems?
Here are a few steps for you to solve any issues that might be causing PlayStation Network problems on your end.
Restart your game
The first step should be to simply restart your game. While there’s little you can do if there are problems with PSN, sometimes the servers might just be back up before you even know about it. In such cases, a simple restart of the video game might be the perfect solution.
Shut down PlayStation and Start again
The connectivity issues might stem from your PlayStation not connecting to the server as required. In such cases, a restart of the PlayStation might solve the problem. Restarting your devices ensures that the cache is cleared. Hopefully, this will solve your PlayStation Network error.
Wait for Server to be back up
Finally, if none of the above steps work wonders for you then the simple solution is to simply wait it out. The server connection issues are usually only solved by Sony on their end. With thousands of players eagerly waiting (and complaining) about the servers, we can expect Sony to quickly roll out an update to fix them.
